"The Early Sermons"
1. Be Amazed! (1st Sermon)
In this sermon Pastor Jeremy analyzes Moses' encounter with Almighty God at the Burning bush found in the book of Exodus. As we examine how Moses interacts with God we see that when Moses was in AWE of God, he was totally obedient. However, when he started to get used to God and His magnificence he started to question the commands of God. In this sermon we are asked a critical question: "When was the last time we were amazed by God." In this sermon we are called to be amazed by our God and in turn respond with unquestioned obedience to his Word.
2. Never Again!
In this message Pastor Jeremy gives his first recorded insights into 2 Peter 1:5-10 the foundational verses upon which Diligence Applied Ministries was built. In this message we learn the 7 qualities that, if added to our faith, can give us assurance of our election and certainty that we will never fall in the faith. Pastor Lundmark calls on us to raise the flag "Never Again" in regard to our sin by diligently applying to our faith the 7 Qualities of 2 Peter 1:5-10.
3. Happy Holidays
In this sermon Pastor Lundmark looks at the Book of Joel and explains that while we may say "Happy Holidays" during Christmas most holidays were birthed in times of serious trial. Sometimes Christmas is not a happy time for some people. Tragedy doesn't stop for the holidays. People die, disease continues, and jobs are still lost. Pastor Lundmark explains that in the book of Joel there was a Holiday making moment. We are encouraged to follow Joel's message to the hurting people of Israel when we face difficult times and make those trials in to our own personal Holidays.
4. What Did They Know?
During Christmas time we celebrate the coming of the messiah who came to die for our sins. We know now, after the events have occured, why the Baby came in a manger. In this sermon Pastor Lundmark wonders what those who lived in the days of Jesus' birth knew about Jesus PRIOR to his death, burial and resurrection. He looks at four people who seemed to know the Redeemer of Israel was here prior to his death on the Cross: The Shepherds, The Wise Men, Simeon and Anna.
5. Why Have you Forsaken Me?
Just before Christ breathed his last breath on the cross he cried out "My God, My God, Why Have You Forsaken Me". Have you ever wondered what the answer to Jesus Question was? In this brief Good Friday Message Pastor Jeremy Lundmark takes a shot at answering the question of the dying Savior.
6. Wisdom from God
Homiletics is a course designed to teach students how to preach and to provide an environment in which students can preach and be evaluated by their peers. In this Homiletics message Pastor Lundmark explains who can get wisdom from God, and gives some reasons why, when we ask of God, we don't receive Wisdom from God.
7. Faith Alone
In this second Homiletics sermon Pastor Lundmark explains that when we design things to work for a purpose they don't often work for other purposes. In the same way God has designed salvation to be by Faith Alone. He also gives some theological positions that offer another way other than the way designed by God. In this sermon we learn that salvation is by Faith Alone because that's how God designed it.
